Jay Z Obama – CWEB.com

Rap Celebrity Mogul Jay Z, aka Shawn Carter, became the first rap artist inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in a star-studded ceremony Thursday night at New York City’s Marriott Marquis Hotel.

Former President Barack Obama gave a touching speech to help induct his ‘friend’ & ‘inspiration’ Jay Z into the Songwriters Hall of Fame

In the video, Barack Obama drew a comparison between himself and Jay, saying “Nobody who met us as younger men would expect us to be where we are today. We know what it’s like to not have a father around. We know what it’s like not to come from much and to know people who didn’t get the same breaks that we did.”
