Liza Karlen poured in a career-high 30 points, 20 in the second half, and No. 23 Marquette pulled away from Seton Hall for a 75-54 win on Tuesday night in South Orange, N.J.

Karlen went 11-for-16 from the field and surpassed the 1,000-point mark for her career. She added six rebounds to help the Golden Eagles (14-2, 3-2 Big East) win their second straight.

The Golden Eagles led just 33-31 at halftime, and Azana Baines tied the game for Seton Hall in the first 30 seconds of the third quarter. Karlen had a fastbreak layup, but Seton Hall managed to tie the game twice more. Karlen’s jumper set off a 9-0 Marquette run, and she wound up with 17 points on 6-of-6 shooting in the third quarter.

Jordan King piled up 16 points, eight rebounds and six assists for Marquette, and Mackenzie Hare had 12 points. Skylar Forbes grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.

Micah Gray had 16 points and Baines added 12 to go along with six rebounds for Seton Hall (10-6, 2-3).
