LOL News: 100 Thieves pull even atop LCS Spring Split standings

100 Thieves improved to 7-3 and pulled into a tie atop the standings in Week 5 action of the League Championship Series Spring Split on Saturday.

FlyQuest (7-3) began the day alone in first but lost to Cloud9 (5-5). NRG (5-5) and Shopify Rebellion (3-7) also posted victories.

The Thieves won their match over Dignitas (4-6) in 34 minutes on blue. Canada’s Brandon “Meech” Choi led the win with a 6-0-11 kills-deaths-assists ratio. Kim “Dove” Jae-yeon of South Korea paced Dignitas at 5-5-4.

Also playing on blue, Cloud9 won its match in 30 minutes. Joseph “Jojopyun” Pyun of Canada scored a K-D-A of 5-1-2 for the winners, while Gabriel “Bwipo” Rau of Belgium managed a 2-5-0 for FlyQuest.

NRG defeated Team Liquid (5-5) in 43 minutes. They were also playing on blue and were led by Victor “FBI” Huang of Australia at 6-2-11. Jeong “Impact” Eon-young of South Korea paced Liquid at 5-1-5.

Shopify made it a sweep of blue winners, prevailing over the Immortals (3-7) in 38 minutes. David “Insanity” Challe of the U.S. dominated for Shopify at 9-2-6, while Jonathan “Armao” Armao, also of the U.S., led the Immortals at 4-4-4.

Week 5 concludes Sunday with four matches:
–FlyQuest vs. 100 Thieves
–NRG vs. Immortals
–Team Liquid vs. Cloud9
–Dignitas vs. Shopify Rebellion
