Mike Lindell’s MyPillow operations were removed from a warehouse in Minnesota after a judge ordered eviction due to unpaid rent. The landlord of a Shakopee warehouse filed a lawsuit against Lindell because the company was behind in rent. The rent dues were over $200 million, and MyPillow was evicted from the warehouse. MyPillow has another warehouse, where the company manufactures pillows, bath towels, slippers, and other items.
Mike Lindell owes First Industrial LP a rent of $217,489.74. Last July, the pillow company scaled down operations and sold a lot of industrial equipment. It also said that it was subleasing space in its rental properties.
CEO Lindell and his company MyPillow were ‘canceled’ by several large retailers, including Walmart, Kohl’s, J.C. Penney, Costco, Bed, Bath & Beyond, and others, as he continued to peddle conspiracy theories of a stolen election and more. He then began directly selling his company goods through Fox and explored other direct-to-consumer channels, but his ads were taken off air on Fox reportedly due to unpaid bills.
Mike Lindell remains one of the most ardent supporters of Donald Trump despite losing hundreds of millions of dollars because of false and unsubstantiated claims. A judge also ordered him to pay a software engineer $5 million. He had challenged anyone to disprove his election fraud claim that China had interfered in the 2020 presidential elections and helped Joe Biden become the President of the United States. The software engineer proved the claim to be wrong.
MyPillow CEO Lindell also faces defamation lawsuits from Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic. Dominion sued him for $1.3 billion, while Smartmatic sued him for over $1 billion.
In October 2023, the lawyers of Lindell asked federal courts to permit them to stop defending him as he already owed them millions of dollars and would not be able to pay them to continue protecting him.
