Daulton Varsho went 3-for-4 with three RBIs to lead the Arizona Diamondbacks to an 8-3 victory over the slumping San Francisco Giants Monday in Phoenix.

Buddy Kennedy went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Josh Rojas had two hits and an RBI for Arizona, which snapped a two-game losing streak.

Madison Bumgarner (4-8) picked up the win, allowing three runs on five hits over five innings. He walked three and struck out four.

David Villar, called up earlier Monday from Triple-A Sacramento where he was leading the Pacific Coast League with 21 homers, doubled on the first major league pitch he saw and had two hits for the Giants. Yermin Mercedes also doubled and had two hits and LaMonte Wade Jr. added a two-run single for San Francisco, which lost its fifth straight game.

Carlos Rodon (7-5) suffered his first loss since May 27, allowing four runs on five hits over five innings. He walked two and struck out seven.

San Francisco took a 2-0 lead in the first by taking advantage of Bumgarner’s wildness. Wilmer Flores was hit by a pitch with one out and Darin Ruf and Evan Longoria followed with walks to load the bases. Wade then singled to drive in Flores and Ruf.

The Diamondbacks came right back to tie it, 2-2, in the bottom of the first. Jordan Luplow led off with a double and Rodon then sandwiched walks to Cooper Hummel and Christian Walker around a strikeout of Ketel Marte to load the bases. Kennedy then sliced a single to right-center to drive in Luplow and Hummel.

Arizona took a 4-2 lead in the second, taking advantage of a pair of San Francisco errors in the process. Varsho led off with an infield single and then came all the way around to score on a sacrifice bunt by Geraldo Perdomo after a throwing error by Flores. Hummel then singled, stole second and advanced to third on throwing error by catcher Curt Casali. Marte then drove in Hummel with a ground-rule double down the right field line.

The Giants cut their deficit to 4-3 in the third on a two-out single by Villar to score Longoria, who had singled and advanced to second on a single by Mercedes.

Arizona extended its lead to 6-3 in the sixth on an RBI double by Rojas, driving in Kennedy who had singled. Varsho drove in Rojas one out later with a single.

Varsho added a two-run single in the eighth to finish the scoring.
