The Miami Marlins acquired right-hander Jorge Lopez, a 2022 All-Star, from the Minnesota Twins in exchange for right-hander Dylan Floro on Wednesday.

Lopez is 4-2 with a 5.09 ERA, three saves, 11 walks and 27 strikeouts in 35 1/3 innings this season. He has 24 scoreless outings and six holds, with left-handed batters hitting .178 against him.

Lopez, 30, became an American League All-Star in 2022 — his first season as a full-time reliever. He was with the Baltimore Orioles that season until he was traded to the Twins on Aug. 2.

For his eight-year career, Lopez is 20-40 with a 5.42 ERA, 180 walks and 396 strikeouts in 456 1/3 innings over 206 games (58 starts). He has played for the Milwaukee Brewers (2015-18), Kansas City Royals (2018-20), Orioles (2020-22) and Twins (2022-23).

Floro, 32, is 3-5 this season with a 4.54 ERA, seven saves, 11 walks and 41 strikeouts over 39 2/3 innings in 43 relief appearances.

For his career, Floro is 24-21 with a 3.32 ERA, 32 saves, 99 walks and 290 strikeouts in 317 innings in 311 games over parts of eight Major League seasons with the Tampa Bay Rays (2016), Chicago Cubs (2017), Cincinnati Reds (2018), Los Angeles Dodgers (2018-20) and Marlins (2021-23).
