Ha-Seong Kim hit a three-run homer and Dylan Cease allowed one run over six innings to pace the visiting San Diego Padres to a 6-3 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday night.

Cease (2-1) allowed just two hits and struck out seven, but he walked five in a 110-pitch outing.

The Padres jumped on Wade Miley (0-1) for four runs in the first after loading the bases with no outs. Xander Bogaerts and Fernando Tatis Jr. singled and Jurickson Profar reached on a sacrifice bunt when first baseman Jake Bauers dropped the toss from Miley.

Manny Machado followed with a hard-hit RBI groundout off Miley’s leg, scoring Bogaerts. Kim followed with his third homer, a 379-foot drive down the left-field line to make it 4-0.

Milwaukee got one back in the bottom half when Willy Adames walked with two outs and Bauers followed with an RBI double into the right-field corner.

Abner Uribe came on in the fourth for Miley, who needed 66 pitches to get through three innings. Miley allowed four runs — three earned — on four hits, walking two and striking out two.

The Padres loaded the bases again in the fifth against Uribe on singles by Tatis and Profar and an intentional walk to Kim, but Hoby Milner came on and got an inning-ending fielder’s choice.

San Diego loaded the bases with no outs in the seventh as well — on two singles and a walk. Luis Campusano blooped an RBI single to right to make it 5-1. Jackson Merrill beat out a fielder’s choice to prevent a double play and drive in another run.

Milwaukee added a run in the seventh off Adrian Morejon on consecutive two-out singles by Joey Wiemer, Sal Frelick and William Contreras.

The Brewers added a run in the ninth on an RBI groundout by Contreras.
