Molson Coors (TAP), the popular brewing company, is expanding its beverages to include non-beer and nonalcoholic drinks. The CEO of the company recently spoke to a popular outlet about its plans on launching energy drinks and nonalcoholic versions of its popular brands in an interview. One such nonalcoholic version of its popular drink will be launched before the advent of dry January.

On Wednesday Gavin Hattersley, who is the CEO of Molson Coors, spoke to CNBC’s Jim Cramer. He detailed the future plans of the company and emphasized its change of direction towards nonalcoholic beverages, keeping in mind changing trends among young consumers.

Hattersley mentioned that younger consumers, including those who were mainly in their twenties, focused on health and wellness and this change in behavior has had an effect on the brewing company’s strategy. The new strategy includes a focus on energy drinks and nonalcoholic products that could tap into this consumer market.

Organic Greek Vitamin Bottles and Multivitamin Gummies

Hattersley also spoke of how Molson Coors had successfully created a nonalcoholic version of its popular brand Blue Moon. He said that this version was very similar in taste to the original and would be launched in December.

He told CNBC, “If it tastes good, the consumers are going to drink them. I’m looking forward to getting that in the market in December.”

The CEO also said that Molson Coors’ brand has been occupying more shelf space this fall and that he is expecting this trend to continue into spring.

The Canadian-American multinational drink and brewing company is the maker of many popular brands some of which include
Blue Moon
Carling
Coors Light
Miller Lite and many more.

Molson Coors was formed in 2005 after Molson of Canada merged with Coors of United States. The multinational brewing company has its headquarters in Chicago, Illinois in the U.S. and main offices in Golden, Colorado as well as Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
