DUX Infinitos became the NBA 2K League’s first international expansion team to post a tournament win, defeating T-Wolves Gaming in five games in the grand final of the 3v3 Switch Open in Washington.

Fourth-seeded DUX trailed two games to one in the final before winning the fourth game 22-19, led by 14 points from Brian “Killeyy” Diaz. Then, in the deciding game, Ashton “LowkeyGodlike” Agredano scored 10 points and Killeyy added seven points and six assists in another 22-19 victory.

The T-Wolves won the first game 21-15, DUX took the second game 23-18 and the T-Wolves eked out a 22-20 victory in Game 3.

DUX took home $60,000, while the seventh-seeded T-Wolves settled for $30,000. The 25 NBA 2K League teams, who were seeded based on qualifying results the past few weeks, were joined in the double-elimination bracket phase of the $150,000 event by seven community (amateur) teams.

LowkeyGodlike earned championship series MVP honors. He averaged 8.2 points and 1.8 rebounds.

In a lower-bracket semifinal, T-Wolves Gaming defeated second-seeded Bucks Gaming in four games earlier Saturday, eliminating the Bucks. In the upper-bracket final, DUX earned its berth in the final by turning back 11th-seeded Celtics Crossover Gaming in four games.

That sent the Celtics into the lower-bracket final, where they were swept by the T-Wolves.
