Kyle Connor scored two goals and added an assist as the visiting Winnipeg Jets defeated the St. Louis Blues 5-2 on Tuesday.

Mark Scheifele had a goal and two assists for the Jets, who have earned points in seven of their past eight games (5-1-2).

Alex Iafallo earned four assists, Josh Morrissey had two assists and Neal Pionk and Cole Perfetti also scored for Winnipeg. Connor Hellebuyck made 20 saves to earn the victory.

Robert Thomas and Brayden Schenn scored and Jordan Binnington made 32 saves for the Blues, whose two-game winning streak ended.

Winnipeg struck first with a power-play goal, after Blues winger Brandon Saad turned the puck over in his own zone and then took a tripping penalty. Scheifele parked at the left post and jammed in a cross-crease pass from Iafallo at 8:44 of the first period.

The Jets doubled their lead to 2-0 when Pionk took a pass from Scheifele on right wing and snapped a shot over Binnington’s shoulder with 3:45 left in the opening period.

Thomas responded just 40 seconds later to halve the Blues’ deficit. He gained the puck in the left faceoff circle, whirled and fired a turnaround shot past Hellebuyck.

Winnipeg outshot St. Louis 17-6 in the second period and increased its lead to 3-1.

The Jets scored 4:34 into the second with another power-play goal. Connor took a pass from Iafallo at the top of the right circle and fired a shot that deflected off the stick of Blues defenseman Nick Leddy and slipped inside the left post.

Winnipeg made it 4-1 just 62 seconds into the third period. Binnington got caught behind the net trying to play the puck, and Connor converted Scheifele’s centering pass.

Schenn cut the margin to 4-2 off the rush with a snap shot from the left faceoff dot at 8:08, but Perfetti iced the game with an empty-net goal at 17:32.
