The Edmonton Oilers acquired forwards Adam Henrique and Sam Carrick from the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday as part of a three-team trade also involving the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Ducks received the Oilers’ first-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft and their conditional fifth-round selection in the 2025 draft.

The Lightning, in turn, acquired a conditional fourth-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft from Edmonton and sent the rights to goaltending prospect Ty Taylor to the Oilers.

Henrique, 34, has recorded 42 points (18 goals, 24 assists) in 60 games this season with Anaheim. He is playing on the final campaign of a five-year, $29.125 million contract and will become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.

Henrique has totaled 521 points (257 goals, 264 assists) in 890 career games with the New Jersey Devils and Ducks. He was selected by the Devils in the third round of the 2008 NHL Draft.

Carrick, 32, has collected 11 points (eight goals, three assists) in 61 games this season with Anaheim. He is playing in the final campaign of a two-year, $1.7 million contract and will become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.

Carrick has totaled 48 points (26 goals, 22 assists) in 224 career games with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Ducks.
