The Florida Mayhem and Boston Uprising joined the ranks of 2-0 teams while the Los Angeles Gladiators picked up their first win in West Region qualifying for the Overwatch League’s Spring Stage Knockouts on Sunday.

The Mayhem swept the Vegas Eternal 3-0. The Uprising beat the London Spitfire 3-1, while the Gladiators downed the Toronto Defiant 3-1 to conclude the first week of qualifying.

The OWL format is different this year, with lower-level teams getting the chance to compete with the top-level squads.

The season format will now see teams amass points based on their results in regional qualifiers rather than the standard league standings that were in place in previous years.

Florida handled Vegas 2-0 on Ilios and 1-0 on Blizzard World before finishing off the sweep with a 3-2 win on Havana.

London opened with a 2-1 victory on Antarctic Peninsula, but Boston took control the rest of the way. The Uprising won 2-1 on Hollywood, 2-1 on Shambali Monastery and 1-0 on Esperanca.

Los Angeles started with a 2-0 win on Oasis and doubled the advantage by pulling out a 4-3 result on King’s Row. Toronto fought back with a 3-2 victory on Junkertown, but the Gladiators’ 1-0 win on Esperanca sealed the match.

Week 2 of West Region qualifying will begin Friday with three matches:
–Toronto Defiant vs. New York Excelsior
–Washington Justice vs. Los Angeles Valiant
–Vancouver Titans vs. Atlanta Reign
