The disturbing footage shows a masked assailant brandishing a 10mm handgun, forcing Guerrero out of her Dodge Durango before climbing into the backseat. As Guerrero’s vehicle drove off, another car, identified as a green Acura, trailed closely behind.
Less than two hours later, authorities discovered Guerrero’s badly burnt SUV in a rural area of Osceola County, just south of Orlando, with what they believe to be her remains inside. While formal identification is pending, investigators use dental records and DNA to confirm her identity.
Seminole County Sheriff Dennis M. Lemma expressed his shock and horror at the boldness of the perpetrators, emphasizing that this was not a random act of violence. The suspects appeared to target Guerrero specifically, although a motive remains unclear.
Guerrero, a United States citizen from the Dominican Republic, lived with her husband in Homestead, working in a local barbershop and beauty salon. The incident occurred just days before her 32nd birthday, adding to the heartbreak of her untimely death.
Despite the circumstances, questions remain unanswered. Neither Guerrero nor her husband contacted authorities during the carjacking, leaving investigators puzzled. Investigators also believe that she was forced into the car by the perpetrator. The motive behind the attack and the suspects’ identities are still under investigation.
