Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 33 points to lead the host Oklahoma City Thunder to a 133-110 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.

Gilgeous-Alexander was 11 of 18 from the floor and made all 10 of his free throws as the Thunder finished 53.2 percent from the floor.

Jalen Williams added 21 points for the Thunder while Chet Holmgren scored 18.

Anthony Davis led the Lakers with 31 points on 11-of-18 shooting while LeBron James added 21.

The win snapped a two-game losing streak for Oklahoma City, which has won seven of nine overall.

The loss was the third in five games for the Lakers, who have given up at least 130 points in two of their last three outings.

After Los Angeles roared out to an early lead, moving ahead by 14 in the first quarter, the Thunder dominated.

Oklahoma City scored nine of the final 11 points of the first quarter to cut what was a 35-21 Lakers lead in half over the final two minutes of the frame.

Gilgeous-Alexander scored seven of the points as the Thunder made their final three shots of the first while Los Angeles finished just 1-for-6 from the floor.

But the Thunder cut down on the turnovers that led to nine first-quarter points by the Lakers and kept building momentum in the second, outscoring Los Angeles 42-23 in the second quarter.

Oklahoma City also headed up from beyond the arc, going 9-of-24 on 3-pointers in the middle two quarters after starting just 2-of-10.

The Thunder seized control with a 22-8 run in the second that was also powered by Gilgeous-Alexander.

Gilgeous-Alexander’s steal and layup with about five minutes left in the second helped Oklahoma City keep its run going. The Thunder led 72-60 at intermission.

The Thunder stretched their lead to 20 by the start of the fourth quarter.

After committing five turnovers in the first, Oklahoma City had just two in the final three quarters.

Los Angeles was without Cam Reddish, who missed the game with right-groin soreness after returning from a three-game absence in the Lakers’ Wednesday win at Detroit.
