Terry Roberts scored a game-high 26 points and Kario Oquendo added 17 to lead Georgia to a 76-64 victory over No. 22 Auburn in Southeastern Conference play on Wednesday at Athens, Ga.

Roberts shot 8 of 16 from the field, including 1 of 4 from distance, and went 9 of 12 from the free-throw line to go along with two assists. Oquendo shot 6 of 10 from the field, including 3 of 5 from deep, and added four rebounds.

Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe chipped in nine points and a team-high nine rebounds for Georgia, with Jabri Abdur-Rahim finishing with eight points and three rebounds.

The Bulldogs (11-3, 1-0 SEC), who have won four straight and seven of their past eight games, shot 24 of 53 (45.3 percent) from the field, including 6 of 15 (40 percent) from 3-point range.

Auburn (11-3, 1-1), which ended a two-game winning streak, was led by Johni Broome, who had 22 points and a game-high 12 rebounds. Allen Flanigan added 11 points and three rebounds, while Wendell Green Jr. finished with seven points, all in the first half, to go along with three rebounds and three assists.

The Tigers shot 24 of 69 (34.8 percent) from the field, including an abysmal 6 of 28 (21.4 percent) from beyond the arc.

After Auburn trimmed Georgia’s seven-point halftime lead to 57-53 following Flanigan’s dunk with 7:58 remaining, the Bulldogs scored the next nine points to take a 66-53 advantage after Roberts’ two free throws with 6:01 to go.

Georgia led 21-10 with 10:08 left in the first half before Auburn countered with a 14-2 run to take a 24-23 advantage following Flanigan’s jumper with 4:12 to go. But Georgia seized the momentum with a 9-0 run en route to a 37-30 edge at halftime.

Roberts scored 13 points and Oquendo added 10 in the first 20 minutes for Georgia, which shot 13 of 31 (41.9 percent) from the field before the break, including 4 of 9 (44.4 percent) from beyond the arc.

Auburn was led by Broome and Green, who scored seven points apiece.

The Tigers shot 10 of 33 (30.3 percent) from the field prior to halftime, including a dreadful 3 of 11 (27.3 percent) from distance.
