As sustainability and consumer awareness has increased, shopping retailers are tailoring some of their products to meet the needs of these shoppers, who are looking for a good deal, yet want to shop in a sustainable, healthy and environmentally friendly way. Walmart has introduced a new shopping experience online. It is called Built for Better and has two programs: Built for Better—For You and Built for Better—For the Planet.

The Build for Better shopping destination will help customers shop for products that could promote personal wellbeing while making a minimal adverse impact on the environment. The retail behemoth has made this move to increase its strategy of sustainability as well to become a regenerative retailer. It wishes to source responsibly. It also has goals to stop waste and to reduce emissions.
