Since the inception of Walmart+, a paid monthly or yearly subscription by Walmart, the nation’s largest retailer has been adding features for its subscribers. On Wednesday, the big box retailer added yet another perk for these members. The retailer announced that Walmart+ subscribers will get cash back as digital rewards. These rewards are saved in their Walmart Wallet present in the app and can be used for future purchases.

As the digital rewards accumulate in their wallets, Walmart+ customers can use this amount as additional discount on future purchases, thereby leading to a still more increase in savings. The rewards are limited to paid subscribers.

Walmart+ was launched in September 15, 2020. It costs $98 a year or $12.95 a month, Some of the benefits currently offered are as follows:
free shipping
gas discounts
six months free streaming of music with Spotify
free streaming of basic plan from Paramount.

Although Walmart has never disclosed the number of its Walmart+ subscribers, different estimates have been reached by different companies. Morgan Stanley believes that Walmart has 16 million people who are members of its paid Walmart+ subscription services while the Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) said that the big box retailer has about 11 million paid subscribers, according to an August report.

In its website, the company said that their founder Sam Walton had said, “Give customers what they want, and a little more.” This is also the same principle that the giant retailer is offering its Walmart+ subscribers.

The site also said that Walmart Rewards was
free and easy to use
works in different ways including in-store or online
balance could be redeemed at checkout
not static and would keep evolving.

Walmart always has the goal to help its customers save both time and money. The new Walmart Rewards program will increase the savings of its Walmart+ subscribers. The website said, “It’s a little more that adds up to a lot.”
