Billionaire and Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently took to social media to announce that he drove the new Tesla-produced Cybertruck around Austin, Texas. This comes after a Tesla Cybertruck prototype was spotted driving for the first time in California in June. The billionaire revealed that the revolutionary electric pickup truck, the Cybertruck, will be manufactured at a new Gigafactory in Austin, Texas, along with the production of the Semi. He also shared that the Cybertruck will be available with three battery ranges, from “250-plus” to over 500 miles on a single charge. Tesla aims to offer an aggressive starting price just below $40,000, with seating for six. However, some modifications will need to be made for the production version.
Despite this recent development, Musk has driven a Cybertruck in Texas before. In May, he arrived at the groundbreaking ceremony of Tesla’s Texas lithium refinery behind the wheel of a Cybertruck prototype. However, it seems that the vehicle encountered some difficulties as a social media user later alleged that it got stuck in a field.
