The CW, the newest broadcaster in the sports media rights scene, struck a deal to add the NASCAR Xfinity Series beginning in 2025.

NASCAR announced a new seven-year deal with The CW on Friday. Sports Business Journal and Sportico reported that the package cost the network around $800 million.

The CW Network and The CW App will become the exclusive home for all 33 NASCAR Xfinity Series races, as well as “the majority of practice and qualifying sessions,” according to NASCAR.

The Xfinity Series has run since 1982 as NASCAR’s second-tier circuit behind the Cup Series. Most of their races are staged on Saturdays, often as a support race the night before a Cup Series race at the same track.

The CW made its first foray into national sports broadcasting in January when it announced a deal to broadcast LIV Golf events. Earlier this month, it expanded its live sports portfolio by announcing a partnership with the Atlantic Coast Conference. The CW will exclusively carry 50 ACC football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball games per year, starting in 2023-24.
