Celebrity bodybuilder Justyn Vicky died in a freak accident while trying to lift 450 pounds barbells in a gym in Bali. The fitness influencer was 33-years old. Fellow enthusiasts and web fans poured in condolence messages. It was a shocker as he was strength training and the barbell reportedly fell on his neck. He was rushed to a local hospital but died soon after an emergency operation.
On July 15, fitness influencer and nutritional advisor Justyn Vicky was strength training. The bodybuilder tried to extend his legs as he lifted a heavy bar with barbells weighing about 450 pounds. The bar weighed down on his shoulders and he struggled to stand upright. He fell on the floor. The stacked barbell crashed down at the back of his neck.

A lone spotter at The Paradise Bali gym remained helpless. The Indonesian personal trainer was rushed to a local hospital. He was admitted with injuries including a broken neck. There also was critical compression of vital nerves that connected to his heart and lungs. Although an emergency surgery was carried out, he died shortly after the operation on the same day.
Fellow fitness experts and web fans poured in tributes and condolence messages that mentioned his kindness, politeness, positive vibes and more.

The Paradise Bali gym also posted a condolence message for the young bodybuilder on their social media page.
Bodybuilding is a healthy sport. However, it is important that safe practices must be adopted while lifting weights.
In a July 5 post on social media Justyn Vicky posted a video of a squat on his page. The audio said that it was “one of the most dangerous exercises” but if it was “done properly” it need not be dangerous. Unfortunately, it seemed as if it had not been done properly on July 15, leading to the death of young bodybuilder and fitness coach Justyn Vicky.
