Great Britain’s Jack Draper pulled off a 7-5, 6-2 upset of No. 1 seed Lorenzo Musetti of Italy on Wednesday in the second round of the Sofia Open in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Draper collected seven aces, won 31 of 35 first-service points and saved five of six break points to join Russian Pavel Kotov and Turkish wild card Cem Ilkel in ousting seeded opponents. Kotov was tied 3-6, 7-6 (4) with fourth-seeded Sebastian Baez before the Argentine retired, while Ilkel downed No. 6 seed Max Purcell of Australia 6-3, 4-6, 6-4.

Second-seeded Frenchman Adrian Mannarino beat Spain’s Albert Ramos-Vinolas 6-4, 6-4, and third-seeded German Jan-Lennard Struff swept British qualifier Billy Harris 7-6 (5), 6-4.

Austria’s Sebastian Ofner, the No. 7 seed, and Hungary’s Marton Fucsovics, the No. 8 seed, also won their respective matches, as did fellow Hungarian Fabian Marozsan.

Moselle Open

Italians Fabio Fognini and Lorenzo Sonego both earned wins to punch their ticket to the quarterfinals in Metz, France.

Fognini, a wild card, rallied for a 4-6, 7-6 (7), 7-6 (5) victory against fifth-seeded Alexander Bublik of Kazakhstan, while No. 6 Sonego swept Jordanian qualifier Abdullah Shelbayh 6-3, 7-5. Fognini still pulled off the comeback despite 19 aces from Bublik.

Other winners included Frenchmen Luca Van Assche and wild card Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Russia’s Alexander Shevchenko.
