Second seed Tommy Paul won his second ATP Tour title on Sunday, defeating fellow American Marcos Giron 7-6 (3), 5-7, 6-3 in the final of the Dallas Open.

Paul, 26, also won in Stockholm in 2021. Paul, ranked 15th in the world, and the 67th-ranked Giron played in the first all-American tour-level final since Tokyo two years ago.

Their match Sunday lasted two hours, 33 minutes. Paul had a large edge in winners (30-15) and aces (7-1), while Giron committed the only three double faults of the match and had more unforced errors (18-10). Paul converted both break-point opportunities, while his opponent was 2-for-6.

Cordoba Open

Italian qualifier Luciano Darderi defeated Argentine qualifier Facundo Bagnis in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4 in the final in Argentina.

Darderi recorded eight aces and won 77.8 percent of his first serves (21 of 27), compared to 51.4 percent (19 of 37) for Bagnis.

Darderi, ranked 136th in the world, converted 4 of 10 break-point opportunities, to 1 of 2 for Bagnis, who is ranked 207th.

Open 13 Provence

Frenchman Ugo Humbert delighted the home crowd by winning his fifth ATP Tour title, besting Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria 6-4, 6-3 at Marseille, France.

Humbert, the fourth seed, jumped to a 3-0 lead in the second set after saving two break points in the first game and breaking the serve of Dimitrov, the second seed, in the following game.

Dimitrov had defeated Humbert in the duo’s two prior meetings before Humbert’s 84-minute victory. The win was fueled by Humbert’s exceptional serving. He fired 10 aces, saved both of his two break points and won 87 percent of points on his first serve (33 of 38). Humbert has won all five of his tour finals.
