The celebrity singer and actress Ariana Grande plays Glinda the good witch while celebrity Cynthia Erivo plays Elphaba the bad witch. The movie has officially been divided into two parts. The images of both Grande and Erivo are silhouetted against eerie dark backgrounds. The movie is a prequel to the Wizard of Oz.

Celebrity director Jon M. Chu posted two photos on social media of both the good witch played by Ariana Grande and the bad witch played by Cynthia Erivo. He added a caption: “Green & Pink. It always starts with green and pink” followed by a hashtag of the movie Wicked and its release date was only mentioned as 2024.
