One celebrity co-star and friend John Boyega recently posted on social media that he finally spoke to the celebrity actor and that he was recovering well, and they couldn’t wait for his return. John Boyega and Jamie Foxx are starring in the Netflix film They Cloned Tyrone, whose trailer was officially released on Tuesday.
In a PEOPLE’s exclusive, the 31-year-old British actor told the outlet that Jamie Foxx was “doing well.” The actor who said that he had recently chatted with his 55-year-old legendary co-star said that Foxx had finally picked up the phone and expressed his gratitude that he was able to talk to him.
He also said that Jamie Foxx was doing good and that they were giving him privacy and that they were impatiently waiting for his return. He expressed his happiness that he was able to personally give him “all the well wishes” and told him to take his time and also expressed his love for his bro.

Jamie Foxx had fallen ill on the sets of Back in Action with celebrity co-stars Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close, while shooting in Atlanta. On May 12, daughter Corinne Foxx posted on social media that her celebrity father Jamie Foxx was recuperating but didn’t mention details of the “medical complication.”
Later in May, Jamie Foxx posted on social media that he appreciated all the love that his web fans had sent across. The Oscar winner also said that he was “Feeling blessed.”
