Celebrity singer and songwriter Christina Aguilera started her career in 1993 as one of the show’s young performers of The All-New Mickey Mouse Club. Her first No. 1 song, “Genie in a Bottle,” which was released in 1999, catapulted her to stardom. Eight studio albums that she later released have sold over 36 million copies globally and won her five Grammys. In addition, from 2011 to 2016, she served as a mentor on a renowned American singing reality competition television series. Christina has become a successful solo artist, but it has not always been smooth sailing.

In a recent conversation with Allure magazine, Christina discussed how she has been treated over the decades in the music business and acknowledged that she is “a very sensitive person.” Reflecting on how she started performing as a child of six or seven, she said that the bigger and more successful one becomes, there is always “more hate or more scrutiny.”

The Burlesque actress, with over 8 million social media fans, has reportedly been singled out for criticism by her fellow stars repeatedly throughout her career. Over the years, the star has deftly handled the criticism and has rarely responded in kind to any public assaults from her well-known peers.

According to reports, rock-influenced pop singer Pink’s recent interview with Buzzfeed UK to rate her music videos sparked rumors of a conflict between her and Aguilera. Pink allegedly awarded the music video of the song “Lady Marmalade,” a collaboration with Christina Aguilera, and fellow performers, a low rating.

She reportedly cited an alleged on-set drama and social media users surmised that Christina was the cause of Pink’s lack of fond memories of the Lady Marmalade recording process. Even though the two performers started off to a bad start, they both acknowledged putting the argument behind them when they came into contact on The Voice. The songwriter also spoke about how fellow singer Eminem and the Dirrty singer and Eminem have been at odds for a long time.
