Now, they have hit another milestone as the movie has sold more than $100 million in advance sales, as anticipated by many. The debut of the much-awaited film will take place in about 8,500 theaters in countries across the world.
Directed by Sam Wrench, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour will open on October 13, at 6 p.m., local time. AMC is also holding a world premiere event at Los Angeles, California on October 11.
AMC said that the demand for tickets had been “incredible” from when the announcement was first made. It also said that Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour took less than a day to beat the firm’s record for the highest sales in a day.
Celebrity Taylor Swift’s movie has also become the most profitable concert film. The earlier most profitable one was Never Say Never, which was Justin Bieber’s concert film. The 2011 film that was part documentary and part live performances had made $99 million.
