Ingredients:
- 8 oz linguine or fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Crushed red pepper flakes (optional for added spice)
Instructions:
- Cook the Pasta:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente.
- Drain and set aside.
- Sauté Shrimp:
- Heat one tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat in a large skillet.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until they turn pink and opaque.
- Season the shrimp with salt and pepper.
- Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- Prepare White Wine Sauce:

- Allow the wine to simmer for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.
- Add Cream and Chicken Broth:
- Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
- Simmer the mixture for 3-4 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Stir in grated Parmesan cheese and continue cooking until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Combine Shrimp and Pasta:
- Add the cooked shrimp to the skillet, tossing them in the creamy sauce.
- Allow the shrimp to heat through for 2-3 minutes.
- Finish and Garnish:
- Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes for some heat if desired.
- Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet, coating it evenly with the creamy shrimp sauce.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
- Serve:
- If desired, plate the creamy shrimp pasta and sprinkle additional Parmesan and parsley.
- Serve immediately, and enjoy your delicious shrimp pasta with white wine cream sauce.
