Vitality swept Evil Geniuses to advance to grand final in Group A competition at the BLAST Premier Spring Groups on Saturday in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Vitality recorded a 16-11 win on Overpass and 16-1 victory on Inferno to dispatch Evil Geniuses.

Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut had 47 kills and a plus-27 kills-to-death differential to pace Vitality, who will await the winner of Sunday’s Evil Geniuses-Heroic match. The grand final will be contested on Wednesday.

Heroic posted a 2-1 win over Astralis in a battle of all-Denmark teams in the lower-bracket semifinal match.

Rasmus “sjuush” Beck had 55 kills and a plus-20 kills-to-death differential for Heroic.

Astralis was paced by Nicolai “device” Reedtz, who had 45 kills. Benjamin “blameF” Bremer had a team-best minus-1 kills-to-death differential.

In a Group C upper-bracket semifinals match, Natus Vincere secured a 2-1 win over Ninjas in Pyjamas.

Natus Vincere sandwiched a 16-9 win on Inferno and 16-8 victory on Overpass around a 19-17 setback on Mirage.

Ukraine’s Valeriy “b1t” Vakhovskiy recorded 67 kills and countryman Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev had a plus-20 kills-to-death differential for Natus Vincere.

Daniil “headtr1ck” Valitov, also of the Ukraine, had 58 kills and a plus-10 kills-to-death differential for Ninjas in Pyjamas.

A prize pool of $177,498 will be distributed to the 12 participants in the Spring event, with $27,500 going to the top three finishers along with qualification for the Spring Final later this season.

Winners in Group play are determined by three double-elimination brackets, all matches being best of three.
