Paytyn “junior” Johnson had 30 kills and a plus-3 kills-to-deaths differential for Evil Geniuses, who will square off versus Ninjas in Pyjamas on Saturday in a lower-bracket semifinal.

Complexity Gaming rebounded from a 16-14 setback to Ninjas in Pyjamas on Inferno to post a 16-12 win on Nuke and 16-13 victory on Overpass.

Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski had 71 kills and a plus-16 K-D differential for Complexity.

Denmark’s Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke collected 72 kills and a plus-11 kills-to-deaths differential for Ninjas in Pyjamas.

The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive event began with a double-elimination group stage, with the field split into three groups of four teams.
