Mike Richards the new host of Jeopardy, who replaced Alex Trebek, recently announced that he is going to leave the show due to ongoing controversies about sexist language and lawsuits. Richards made  sexist comments in an old podcast that he now later regrets and states they were “terribly embarrassing.” The comments were made on  “The Randumb Show,” a weekly late-night comedy talk show, when he attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, California

Sony Pictures Television will   begin to search for new host, A guess host will appear till a final host is chosen. Richards, however, will still remain   as an executive producer, at least for now. Sony is hoping  that Richard’s will remain in the role as executive producer.

A spokesperson for Sony Pictures television said that they do support his decision to step down, but they were also very surprised when they learned of the podcast   and   the offensive language and rhetoric that was used in the year 2013 and   2013.

Richards has since them apologized in a memo to his staff.
