Luis Arraez became the first San Diego player to record four hits in his team debut, and he sparked the Padres to a 13-1 rout of the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday night at Phoenix.

Ha-Seong Kim smacked a three-run homer and Jurickson Profar hit a two-run blast during an eight-run seventh inning for the Padres, who have outscored the Diamondbacks 20-2 while winning the first two contests of the three-game series.

Kim drove in four runs, Manny Machado knocked in three and Profar had three of San Diego’s 18 hits as the club won its season-best fourth straight game. Arraez scored twice and added an RBI after arriving at the ballpark just more than an hour before first pitch.

Arizona has dropped three straight games and seven of its last nine. The Diamondbacks plated their run on Gabriel Moreno’s two-out single in the ninth.

Michael King (3-3) tossed six shutout innings for the Padres. He allowed six hits and no walks while striking out three.

Arizona’s Brandon Pfaadt (1-2) gave up five runs (three earned) and 10 hits in six-plus innings. He struck out four and walked none.

The Padres agreed to acquire Arraez on Friday night from the Miami Marlins for four prospects. The deal was officially consummated Saturday, and the two-time batting champion served as the designated hitter in his first game with San Diego.

Arraez led off the game and smacked the second pitch from Pfaadt into right field for a double. He later scored from third on Machado’s one-out single.

Arraez singled to left field in the third. In San Diego’s two-run fourth, Arraez hit a soft liner over third for an RBI single to give the Padres a 3-0 lead.
Arraez opened the seventh with a bloop single to center to start an uprising that saw 11 batters come to the plate.

Fernando Tatis Jr. followed with a single to end Pfaadt’s night. Brandon Hughes retired the first batter he faced before Machado slugged a two-run double to make it 5-0. Profar followed with his fifth homer of the season, a blast to left center to increase the margin to seven.

Xander Bogaerts doubled and Jackson Merrill singled to make it 8-0.

Luis Campusano walked against Bryce Jarvis before Kim drilled a three-run shot to left center to make it 11-0. The homer was Kim’s fifth of the season.

Arraez lined out to center later in the seventh and bounced to short in the ninth to finish 4-for-6.

Campusano added an RBI double in the ninth and later scored on an infield out by Kim.
