Angel City FC announced they have extended the contract of goalkeeper Angelina Anderson for two years through the end of 2025.

The 27th overall pick in the 2023 NWSL Draft out of the University of California-Berkeley, Anderson made her Angel City FC debut on July 29. She has conceded five goals in six starts, including the playoffs, posting a 4-2-0 record with 28 saves and one clean sheet.

“I’m so grateful and excited to be staying in Los Angeles,” Anderson said in a statement. “This team and this community have made my rookie year nothing short of incredible. I have so much belief in this team. I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to continue to grow as a player with such incredible support around me. I cannot wait to see what this club can achieve and I feel honored to be a part of it.”

Anderson arrived at ACFC after a Cal career in which she recorded 26 shutouts and was named the Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Year and Pac-12 Freshman of the Year in 2019.

“We are so excited to have extended Angelina’s contract with Angel City,” ACFC general manager Angela Hucles Mangano said. “It is important for the future of this club to develop young talent, and Angelina is nothing short of exceptional. Her poise and maturity on and off the field goes far beyond her 22 years. She is hardworking, focused, and such a team player. We look forward to seeing her career flourish as part of our goalkeeping squad.”
