OL Reign named Lesle Gallimore as general manager on Wednesday.

Gallimore will oversee all areas of club operations. She spent the past three years as the first commissioner of the Girls Academy League development program.

“Lesle has dedicated her life to this sport and helped pave the way for so many young athletes throughout the United States, especially within our local soccer community,” CEO Vincent Berthillot said in a news release. “Her decades of experience, her leadership qualities and her love for our club will be a strong addition to the overall success of OL Reign.”

GA has developed more than 13,000 female soccer players in 91 clubs under Gallimore’s leadership. More than 1,000 have gone on to play college soccer.

Gallimore, 59, previously spent 26 seasons (1994-2019) as the women’s soccer coach at Washington. The Huskies qualified for 15 NCAA Tournaments, and she twice won Pac-12 Coach of the Year.

She won the first-ever recipient of the Carla Overbeck Leadership Award by U.S. Soccer in March. Gallimore said she is looking forward to her new job.

“OL Reign boasts a remarkable roster and technical staff whose efforts on the pitch I will attempt to humbly match off the pitch. I can’t wait to get started,” she said.
