On Monday, Shannon O’Connor is scheduled to appear in court. Dubbed as “Party Mom” she is charged with throwing her son and his buddies drunken parties in her home.
O’Connor entered a not-guilty plea. She has been detained without bail while awaiting trial for more than a year.
O’Connor was accused of thirty-nine criminal offenses by the district attorney’s office, including felony child endangerment and sexual battery. The ages of the victims were between 13 and 15, according to the prosecution. She might spend as much as 20 years behind bars if found guilty of the thirty-nine offenses.
Her digital imprint will be ‘important’ in the case, say prosecutors. Students from Los Gatos High School pleaded with the Santa Clara County judge to punish the alleged sexual predator, popularly known as “Party Mom,” to the maximum term possible in prison.
Shannon O’Connor, 48, remained mute and kept her head down while her alleged victims testified in court on Friday. The District Attorney’s Office claims that between 2020 and 2021, O’Connor hosted frightening and hazardous alcohol-fueled sex parties for youngsters. Investigators claim that O’Connor planned covert gatherings at her Los Gatos property without telling her husband.
One high school student, only revealed as “Jane Doe 8,” said in the court hearing on Friday, “This woman tore my life apart. I have suffered and had to deal with the reputation of being ‘the girl that got raped.’ I will live my high school years with this cloud over me.”
