Prosecutors have alleged that the Pennsylvanian sent a letter with threats and a white powder to US Representative Bennie Thompson, who is the chair of the committee that is investigating the Capitol attack that took place on January 6, last year. The Capitol Police found that the white powder was harmless.
An excerpt from the letter to Rep. Bennie Thompson says, “I’m going to kill you! I will make you feel the rest of our pain and suffering. There is nowhere or nobody who can keep you from me. I am going to kill you and those you love.”
The letter also contains a threat to the president of the US and also says, “You & Joe Biden soon will face death for the wrongs you’ve done to US.”
According to prosecutors Robert Vargo sent the letter from the Luzerne County Correctional Facility. He could get up to 25 years in jail if he is convicted.
