American celebrity and reality star Kim Kardashian and boyfriend, actor-comedian Pete Davidson have been enjoying a trip to London but their dream of attending the platinum jubilee celebrations of Queen Elizabeth II as invited guests and not the hoi polloi, has been shattered. The celebrity couple tried to get tickets for Trooping the Colour, according to reliable sources. They were also denied tickets for the Platinum Party to be held on Saturday. Another source said that the couple have flown back to LA.

A reliable source told outlets that the Ministry of Defense had politely refused to provide tickets to the KUWTK star to attend “Trooping the Colour.” The couple wanted to sit down and watch the pomp and pageantry of the 90-minute musical parade, along with members of the royal family, families of military personnel and military VIPs. A source said that there were “some tickets you just can’t buy.”

It has also been reported that officials at Buckingham Palace and publicists at the BBC turned down requests from the reality star and Skims founder’s representative for tickets to the Platinum Party that will be held on Saturday, June 4. It will be broadcasted by the BBC and is expected to have performances by several A-listers, live and recorded.

Legendary musicians including Queen+ Adam Lambert, Diana Ross and many more are expected to perform live. There is also a long list of popular singers and personalities who will appear at the Platinum Party. Sir Elton John has sent a special recording. Famous British personalities including David Attenborough and David Beckham are expected to make an appearance at the Platinum Party. Tickets to the party were much sought after and were balloted.

Another source said that the celebrity couple were in London for other reasons and have flown back to Los Angeles, since. Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson were photographed hitting popular spots in London including jewelry shopping at Mayfair, London and date-night at the River Cafe, in Hammersmith, London.
