Celebrity actors Brad Pitt and Penelope Cruz starred in a short film by fashion house Chanel that paid tribute to a classic French one titled Un homme et une femme (A Man and a Woman). The design house posted about the celebrity actors and the tribute on social media. Both Brad Pitt and Penelope Cruz are brand ambassadors for Chanel.
Chanel posted on social media that the Chanel Fall-Winter 2024/25 Ready-to-Wear show has been introduced in a short film starring Penelope Cruz and Brad Pitt.
Penelope Cruz has been a brand ambassador for Chanel since 2018, while the Ocean’s Eleven star was the first male brand ambassador for Chanel’s iconic and bestselling perfume No. 5.
The social media post said that the short film starring Brad Pitt and Penelope Cruz was a tribute to the film A Man and A Woman by French Director Claude Lelouch. It also said that the film captured the beginning of a love story in Deauville, a place that is not only dear to the House of Chanel but also inspired Virginie Viard’s Fall 2024 Ready to Wear collection.
The post added that the film was directed by Inez & Vinoodh.
Deauville is where Coco Chanel launched her business more than a hundred years ago. The fashion house partners with the Deauville American Film Festival. It is celebrating its 50th year. Chanel, founded in 1912, is fittingly paying tribute to the Deauville American Film Festival this year with the short film starring Penelope Cruz and Brad Pitt.
Virginie Viard said in a preview, “I want Brad and no one else.”
Chanel’s creative director Viard also said of the Spanish actress, “Penelope is a huge fan of the movie.”
