Recently published body camera footage revealed armed law enforcement officers forcefully entering the residence of Ruby Franke, a well-known “momfluencer” in Utah. This occurred in August as they were in pursuit of her children, following an incident in which her 12-year-old son fled from her business partner’s residence and sought assistance from a neighbor, requesting food and water.
Franke, along with her business partner, Jodi Hildebrandt, was apprehended the previous week after Franke’s 12-year-old son escaped through a window and sought aid at a neighbor’s residence, seeking food and water.

The 12-year-old boy was discovered with tape bound around his ankles, bearing sores on his wrists. Simultaneously, a 10-year-old child was located at the residence of Franke’s business partner, Jodi Hildebrandt, in Ivins, both of whom were suffering from malnourishment. Upon observing duct tape around the child’s ankles and wrists, the neighbor promptly contacted the authorities. The responding officer reported that the child displayed severe malnourishment and exhibited “deep lacerations” resulting from being bound with a rope.
