As per Vanderbilt Medical Center, six people were murdered in the incident, including three adults and three students at the Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee. Private Christian school Covenant School serves students in kindergarten through sixth grade.
The school has about 200 students in attendance on any given day. The suspect person Audrey E. Hale entered the school but did not enter the classroom. Five officers made it to the scene and within fifteen minutes engaged in gunfire and shot the woman dead where they confronted the woman on the second floor.

The shooter killed three children and three adults.
The gunman was armed with two “assault-type weapons” and a handgun, according to the police, who confronted her and killed her. The shooter was found to be a 28-year-old woman and not a teenager as originally reported.

The 6 victims fatally shot by the active shooter at Covenant School are identified as: Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, and William Kinney, all age 9, Cynthia Peak, age 61, Katherine Koonce, age 60, and Mike Hill, age 61.
The incident will shed light on how she came across the weapons used as the investigation is underway.
