Celebrity Russell Simmons, well known as the founder of Def Jam Records, has been in a public spat with former wife model and fashion designer Kimora Lee Simmons and daughters Aoki Lee Simmons and Ming Lee Simmons. The family feud began on Father’s Day and continued till Wednesday. Web fans were divided in their comments. Although celebrity Russell Simmons has recently become a controversial figure over his abuse of his family as well as sexual abuse charges from several women, he still has a web fans base.
On Sunday, which was also Father’s Day, eldest daughter of the former celebrity couple Russell and Kimora, Ming Lee honored her mother with a photo of both of them, on social media. The caption read: “Happy Father’s Day.”
On Monday, Russell Simmons reportedly posted a rebuttal to his daughter’s post on his social media where he questioned using a sign which asked why fathers were asked why they hadn’t tried harder to see their children and to ask mothers why fathers had to fight at all.
Although some web fans responded positively to his post his ex-wife, celebrity model and fashion designer Kimora Lee Simmons told him not to “threaten” their children’s lives. She also posted a video where she said that Russell Simmons was an absentee father from years and called him “delusional” for thinking that he was on good terms with both his daughters.
Younger daughter Aoki Lee Simmons also joined in the family feud on social media as she posted a Facetime video that was muted. It seemed as if her celebrity Dad Russell Simmons was shouting at her. She also shared screenshots of conversations between the father and daughter duo.
On Monday, after his initial outburst on social media celebrity entrepreneur Russell Simmons reached out once again to his daughters and apologized for “being frustrated and yelling.”

On Wednesday, Aoki Lee Simmons posted a photo of herself as a kid with her father and said he had told them to look after their mother and to never let men intimidate them and to call him if they did.
Aoki told “all the toxic men” who left comments on her earlier post that it was “pathetic” that they said that they were “defending him”, and that she knew that her father Russell Simmons would agree with this new post of hers and she also posted more in a lengthy post.
