Could Caroline Ellison Girlfriend of  Crypto Fraudster Sam Bankman Fried Testify Against Him?

In the midst of ongoing law enforcement investigations into the collapse of their crypto empires, FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried and Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison have both recruited high-powered criminal defense attorneys specialized in white-collar crimes.

Caroline Ellison, former CEO of Alameda Research, is accused of misusing FTX client funds.

Caroline Ellison reportedly the ex-girlfriend of SBK has hired Stephanie Avakian who is  a partner at the legal firm Wilmer Hale Avakian has extensive experience in financial law, having previously served as the director of the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Enforcement. The former SEC official and   lawyer led the legal team that investigated Bernie Madoff’s Ponzi scheme. Fans on both side are waiing to hear more news about the fraud.

On November 17^th Ellison reported she was doing okay in Dubai. The rumor was that she fled to evade prosecution in the Alameda/FTX scandal.  She posted on Twitter she was Living My New Best Life In Dubai! On Twitter she was spotted back in NYC.

SBK has hired Mark Cohen, of Cohen & Gresser hoping to stay out of prison. So far, that looks like an unlikely scenario due to the massive felony charges brought against him this past Tuesday. Bankman-Fried was arrested in the Bahamas on Monday at the direction of US officials, ahead of his anticipated extradition at a future date. This past  Tuesday, a federal prosecutor unveiled an indictment charging Bankman-Fried with eight felony  offences.
