In a tragic incident that occurred in Indiana, a father died and his two children are gravely injured as a hand grenade exploded. The sheriff’s department confirmed that the father, Bryan Niedert, 46, was later pronounced dead at his residence on West Lakeshore Drive. The two children, a 14-year-old boy and an 18-year-old woman, were transported to a hospital for treatment of shrapnel wounds. The cause and manner of the father’s death will be determined following an autopsy scheduled for Monday, as announced by the coroner’s office.
