Shinzo Abe is emphasising sarin threat because of Syria, but North Korea is one of six countries that never signed chemical weapons treaty, and they probably do have chemical weapons. Japan is next door to North Korea, and there is a very long history of hostilities.

North Korea may have the capacity to deliver missiles equipped with sarin nerve gas, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said on Thursday, amid concerns that the reclusive state could soon conduct its sixth nuclear test or more missile launches.
