A group of thieves decided to rob a Bay Area jewelry store worker pulled a gun as thieves entered the shop, but they were in for a shock. A store employee who saw the masked men with sledge hammers enter the store pulled a gun from behind a jewelry counter. The thieves fled without robbing the store. A 73-year-old worker at the store foiled the attempt. The jewelry store in Pleasant Hill sells jewelry, rings, and watches.

Video footage shows a group of robbers entering the Estate Consignment Store in Pleasant Hill. They are wearing hoodies and masks, and are also carrying sledgehammers.

Albert Marcu said that he had to take a stand. He had shown the suspects his gun and told them to stop it, as he had a gun. The 73-year-old said that they ran out after they saw the gun and that they had “panicked.”

He also said that he would use the gun if they threatened his life and that he kept the gun inside the store due to the spate of robberies in the area.

A police cruiser chased the thieves, who ran to two cars and sped off. It was unable to catch them and they escaped the scene. However, their robbery attempt at the jewelry store remained unsuccessful.

Marcu said that he had a message for all business owners: they should follow his example and fight for themselves, as nobody else might fight for them.

He also wanted politicians in California to help small businesses and communities who are facing an increase in crime, and also said that the situation was “getting out of hand.”

He also thanked Pleasant Hill Police, who responded in 30 seconds. The police have asked anyone who has information about the incident to contact them.

Reports say that the property crime rate has risen by 13.5 percent in November in Pleasant Hill this year when compared with the same month last year.
