It’s been about a month since celebrity singer Aaron Carter died and famous older brother Nick Carter of popular boyband Backstreet Boys has opened about about the band’s performance one day after the death of his brother. The “I Want It That Way’ singer spoke of how emotional and tough it was to get up and perform on stage and expressed his gratitude for the support he got from his bandmates and fans.

On December 2, in an exclusive interview with Extra, Nick said that it was “very emotional for me, having my guys with me. That night, it was tough to get up on stage.”

The 42-year old popular singer also said that the band followed the old saying “the show must go on” and have followed it for years but that particular night Nick said that he “didn’t know what was going to come from it, getting on that stage.”

Nick Carter also said that the “reactions from the fans” definitely comforted him and that it had “meant a lot” to him.

All his bandmates agreed with him and AJ appreciated their fans with the words, “BSB army, man.”

At a concert last month, the Backstreet Boys paid an emotional tribute to Aaron Carter with the song ”No Place” while the screen showed photos of the siblings: Nick Carter and Aaron Carter.

Bandmates A.J. McLean, Brian Littrell and Howie Dorough comforted their mate Nick, while Kevin Richardson informed the crowd that they “wanted to find a moment” in their show to honor Nick Carter’s younger brother Aaron Carter, who had passed away, a day ago as he was “part” of their “family.”
