Former Bucs celebrity footballer Antonio Brown is a wanted man in the Hillsborough County, in Florida. The Sheriff’s office has issued an arrest warrant for the former Bucs wide receiver on a domestic violence charge. The incident allegedly took place on November 28. Although the victim has not been named, multiple sources say that she is his ex-fiancée and the mother of four of his children.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office records showed that Antonio Brown was charged with misdemeanor battery. The report also said that no bond had been issued, at that point of time.
The Tampa police report says that the suspect (Antonio Brown) allegedly threw a shoe at the victim (the mother of his children), which struck her hair. Although she was not injured, she believed that the shoe was meant to hit her head. He also threw out her belongings. The suspect (Brown) also tried to evict the victim and locked himself inside the home.
When the police arrived, they made an attempt to speak to him. By that time he had alleged locked all the doors and windows in the house. He also refused to come out.
ABC Action News, who had a crew standing by, said that the police made multiple attempts with a megaphone asking Brown to come out. They also spoke with his attorney and knocked on the door, according to the outlet. At a certain point in time, the Tampa Police yelled, “we’re not gong anywhere.”
The police said that the ex NFL player also placed an informal eviction notice on the home’s door. He also kept saying that the woman had no right to be at the home or to enter it. He said that the children could go in but they were “afraid of their dad when he gets in these destructive moods.”
The woman left the place with her children. Tampa Police told her to spend the night either at a hotel or with a friend and let the “suspect cool down.” They also asked her not to contact him to avoid instigating the situation till “law enforcement action is taken.”
On January 2, 2022 celebrity Bucs wide receiver Antonio Brown threw his equipment into the stands. He then left the field in the middle of a game. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers terminated the contract with their football player Antonio Brown, a few days after the public tantrum by the former NFL player.
