A group of teenagers stormed into a restaurant in Queens and caused mayhem by wildly flipping tables and chairs, video footage showed.
Saturday night at the third-floor dining establishment Fish Village in College Point, a neighborhood shopping center. Through a translator, manager Tony Hu, who cannot speak English, described how more than a dozen teenagers trashed in, began making a mess and disrupted customers as plates and glass broke.

The teenagers rushed through the main dining room while sporting masks and hooded sweatshirts. In the frenzied assault, they flipped tables and chairs and left a broken window and about $20,000 in damages.
Hu claimed that nobody was injured, but the incident, which lasted just over a minute, left everyone in the restaurant shaken. The manager claimed that to protect his staff’s safety, he hid behind the counter while dialing 911 and calling the authorities.
Curtis Sliwa, the founder of Guardian Angels, responded to the incident by calling the rowdy group “a wolfpack” and announcing that his community-watch team would intervene and patrol the restaurant.
Vickie Paladino, a councilwoman, visited the eatery on Monday to see how things were going. She stated that although 50 new NYPD officers have recently been added to her area, more are still required.
Although the staff maintains an eye on the door, the restaurant is trying to move on. Hu claimed he is worried the group might show up again but is sure the police are in control of the situation. The community-watch team will now attempt to support the eatery by patrolling the area around it, even though more officers were anticipated to keep watch outside the area.

According to specialists at California State University, anti-Asian crime increased dramatically in 2021, increasing by 96% in New York and reaching a century-high level. To decrease shoplifting, Mayor Eric Adams announced on Monday that he is requesting that customers take off their facial masks before entering stores. Adams observed that thieves used masks to conduct crimes, taking advantage of the COVID-19 pandemic response measures.
No arrests have been made yet. The gang that caused the chaos fled down 127th street, police said.
