Overnight viewing figures indicated that the broadcast was seen by a record breaking 10.7 million people around the world. Many major TV channels carried the message. The Queen’s message, in 2021, had brought in an audience of 8.96 million viewers, in what is now her last Christmas address as she passed away, in September, paving the way for Charles to assume the role of monarch.
